Freequency has been included in the KVK Innovation Top 100, the annual list of the most innovative SMEs in the Netherlands, finishing within the top 5. During the award ceremony, we managed to hold our ground among the most innovative companies in the country. For Freequency — the first tinnitus serious game in the Netherlands that utilizes Augmented Reality — this is an important recognition. It confirms that a playful, scientifically-based approach to tinnitus is not only valuable for users, but is also viewed as a serious innovation with societal impact.

Freequency in the Top 5 of the KVK Innovation Top 100

We are proud to share that Freequency has been included in the KVK Innovation Top 100 and ranked in the top 5.

The KVK Innovation Top 100 is the annual list of the most innovative SMEs in the Netherlands, compiled by the Chamber of Commerce. Entries are assessed based on their impact on industry and society, originality, availability, and growth potential. Notably, there is no monetary prize associated with the list — the power lies in the recognition and visibility it provides. It serves as a platform that opens doors to customers, investors, and partners.

Being ranked among the hundred most innovative companies in the country and making it to the top 5 means a lot to us. It shows that a playful, accessible approach to tinnitus is taken seriously as an innovation of genuine societal value.

For those who are not yet familiar with Freequency: tinnitus is an invisible but intrusive burden for over two million Dutch people. Freequency is the first tinnitus serious game in the Netherlands that uses Augmented Reality to help people gain control over their tinnitus symptoms in a playful manner. By training the brain to recognize and filter sounds differently, tinnitus is experienced as less bothersome. The result is reduced fatigue and irritation. It is not a magical solution, but a scientifically-supported complement to existing treatments — accessible via a smartphone.

This recognition gives us a strong foundation to build upon and to bring self-management of tinnitus to even more people. Thank you to everyone who supports us on this journey.
